Part-Time Nanny in New York, NY 10280
A lovely family in Battery Park City is seeking a Part-Time Nanny for their 7-month-old, starting September 8, 2026. Care is needed approximately 30 hours per week: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 11:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Wednesday and Friday from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM. The schedule may vary slightly based on the parents' needs, with a minimum of 4-hour shifts. The family is looking for a warm, engaging nanny who enjoys supporting infant development through age-appropriate activities and outdoor experiences. Both parents will be working from the office most days, so the nanny will primarily be responsible for the child's care during working hours.

Start Date: September 8, 2026

Length of Position: Ongoing

Schedule: Approximately 30 hours per week (flexible based on the family's needs)

Typical Needs:
  • Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday: 11:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • Wednesday and Friday: 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
  • Minimum 4-hour shifts
Compensation: $25–$30 per hour


Responsibilities


  • Diaper changing
  • Prepare meals and feed the child
  • Support the baby's nap schedule
  • Plan age-appropriate developmental activities
  • Take the baby on stroller walks and outings to the park, playdates, and infant classes
  • Complete light child-related housekeeping, including baby laundry and keeping toys organized

Requirements


  • Minimum of 2 years of paid, professional infant care experience
  • CPR certified, or willing to become certified
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to provide 2 childcare-related references from a professional setting
  • Able to successfully clear a background and social media screening
  • English required; Chinese and/or Spanish is a plus

Compensation + Benefits


The family is offering $25–$30 per hour, with approximately 30 hours of care per week, depending on the family's scheduling needs.
