Permanent Part-Time Home Health Occupational Therapist

Home health experience is not required—we welcome therapists with at least one year of clinical experience who are eager to transition into home health.

Job Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
  • Provide skilled occupational therapy services in patients' homes.
  • Improve patients' independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
  • Assess home environments and recommend adaptive equipment or home modifications.
  • Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment plans and safety strategies.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and agency regulations.

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Current California Occupational Therapist license in good standing.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
  • Minimum of one year of Occupational Therapy experience required.
  • Home health experience is not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations is a plus.
