Exciting Opportunity with PediaStaff: Unique Part-Time Opportunity for School Occupational Therapist OT in the Palatine, IL area.
PediaStaff is a trusted leader in pediatric therapy and educational staffing solutions, connecting passionate professionals with rewarding school-based and clinic opportunities since 2004. We' re currently seeking dedicated School Occupational Therapist ($50-60/hour) to support students in a private school serving grades K-12 in the Palatine, IL area and surrounding community for the upcoming school year. This position is for 2- 2.5 days a week. The students that attend this program participate in school is a myriad of ways: in home, at school, or virtually. We are looking for an OT to meet the needs of these students primarily at the school or in home visits.

Qualifications:
Master' s Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
IL OT license
Previous experience working with children in a school based or home setting
Role Overview: As an OT, you will support students in school settings by assessing their needs, developing individualized plans, and implementing interventions to help them succeed academically, socially, and physically. This role offers the opportunity to work with young learners in a supportive school environment while making a lasting impact on their development.
Job Details:
Schedule: 2-2.5 days a week, your choice of days
Dates: ASAP for current school year
Hours: your choice as long as it meets the needs of the students
Setting: at school and some home visits, mileage will be paid
Caseload: K-22 years old who exhibit anxiety, have medical issues, etc. Caseload at this time is quite small, but there' s a waitlist

Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' motor, sensory, and functional abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans.
Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in accordance with students' IEPs, helping them achieve academic and developmental goals.
Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments tailored to students' unique needs.
Contribute to the development of IEPs by offering insights on motor development, sensory needs, and appropriate accommodation or modifications.
