Part-Time Office Manager | $25/hour

Tuesday-Thursday | 9am-2pm

 

A Sioux City area church is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations within our organization. This role is vital in maintaining a well-organized, efficient office environment that supports our team’s productivity and enhances overall operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills, with experience in office management, vendor relations, and basic financial processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team while developing professional expertise across multiple administrative functions.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily office operations, including front desk responsibilities and multi-line phone systems, ensuring smooth communication flow.
  • Coordinate scheduling and calendar management for staff and organizational events to optimize time utilization.
  • Supervise administrative staff, providing training and development opportunities to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Oversee vendor management activities, including negotiating contracts, processing invoices, and maintaining supplier relationships.
  • Handle bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing, expense tracking, and basic payroll processing using software like QuickBooks.
  • Support human resources functions by assisting with employee records, onboarding procedures, and compliance documentation.
  • Organize company events and meetings through detailed planning and logistics coordination.
  • Maintain accurate filing systems—both electronic and paper—to ensure easy retrieval of documents.
  • Assist with budgeting, financial record keeping, and reconciliation activities to support fiscal responsibility.
  • Manage office supplies inventory, order necessary materials, and ensure the office environment remains professional and welcoming.
  • Provide exceptional communication via phone etiquette and clear correspondence to internal teams and external partners.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in office management or administrative roles within a professional setting.
  • Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software for bookkeeping and payroll tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to facilitate effective team collaboration.
  • Experience in event planning, vendor negotiations, and calendar management.
  • Knowledge of human resources practices including employee onboarding and record keeping.
  • Familiarity with medical office management or healthcare settings is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Prior clerical or administrative experience in office environments is highly desirable. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring our office operates seamlessly while supporting our team’s growth.
