Part-time Fill-in Caregiver in Monmouth and Ocean County - Preferred Care at Home

We are looking for a Part-time Caregiver to fill-in cases. 

Preferred Care at Home of Monmouth and Ocean County is seeking compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team as Fill-in Caregivers. In this role, you will provide temporary, flexible support to our clients in need of personal care and companionship. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities by ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve in the comfort of their own homes. As a Fill-in Caregiver, you will be called upon to fill in for regular caregivers, helping to maintain consistency and quality of care during their absence. This is a rewarding role for those who enjoy working independently while being part of a larger, supportive team focused on enhancing the well-being of our community members.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized in-home care tailored to each client's unique needs, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation among our clients.
• Ensure safety and comfort within the client’s home by monitoring their environment and reporting any concerns or changes in condition to the care coordination team.
• Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as directed by healthcare professionals and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and any noteworthy client observations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and the Preferred Care at Home team to ensure seamless delivery of services.
• Be available to work on short notice to cover shifts for regular caregivers, demonstrating flexibility and reliability.

Requirements

• Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; we provide thorough training and ongoing support.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others and building meaningful relationships.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions carefully while maintaining independence and good judgment.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes in Toms River and surrounding areas.
• Background check clearance and any required certifications in line with state regulations.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on client needs.
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and perform light housekeeping tasks as necessary.
