Part-time Painter/Maintenance (Nights/Weekends)
A to Z Building Blocks Early Care & Education is hiring a dependable, detail-oriented Painter / Maintenance Helper to help keep our child care centers clean, functional, and welcoming for children, families, and staff.
About A to Z Building Blocks
A to Z Building Blocks provides early care and education for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. Our maintenance team plays an important role in keeping our buildings safe, clean, and running smoothly for our classrooms and families.
Pay & Benefits
- $17.00 per hour
- Mileage reimbursement for approved travel between A to Z Building Blocks locations

Schedule
- Approximately 15 hours per week
- Work is completed after center closing (6:30 p.m.) on weekdays or on weekends
- Flexible schedule coordinated based on project and maintenance needs
Travel RequirementsThis position requires travel between our child care centers located in:
- Eagle Mountain
- American Fork
- Orem
- Spanish Fork
Applicants must have:
- A reliable personal vehicle
- A valid driver's license
- A clean driving record
- Willingness to travel between locations as needed
Mileage is reimbursed for approved travel between company locations.Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, climb stairs, and stand for extended periods
- Must be able to safely use ladders and painting equipment
- Must be able to move safely throughout each facility
Responsibilities
- Complete interior and exterior touch-up painting projects
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, patching, caulking, and cleaning before painting
- Perform basic handyman and small maintenance repairs
- Complete miscellaneous maintenance and odd jobs as assigned
- Respond to maintenance requests from center leadership
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly
- Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Complete projects efficiently with attention to detail
- Communicate professionally with directors and team members
- Document completed work and provide project updates as needed
Qualifications
- Previous painting, handyman, construction, or general maintenance experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and minor repairs
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to producing quality work
- Strong attention to safety, cleanliness, and detail
- Ability to prioritize projects across multiple locations
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must pass all required background clearances
- Current valid driver's license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Willingness to travel between A to Z Building Blocks locations
