ATSS/Cypress Employment is seeking a Part-Time Payroll Clerk for their in office staff Part-Time Payroll Clerk Location: Mobile, AL (or specify location) **Schedule:**Part-Time (20-30 hours per week) **Pay:**DOE (Depending on Experience) Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized**Part-Time Payroll Clerk**to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience processing payroll for multiple companies simultaneously and be proficient in**Paychex Flex**. This position requires a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Process weekly, bi-weekly, and/or semi-monthly payrolls accurately and on time. - Manage payroll for multiple companies and divisions concurrently. - Enter and maintain employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, pay rate changes, deductions, and direct deposit information. - Review timecards, timesheets, and attendance records for accuracy. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. - Generate payroll reports and assist with payroll audits as needed. - Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and payroll-related issues. - Coordinate with HR and management regarding payroll changes and updates. - Maintain confidential payroll records and employee information. - Assist with year-end payroll processing, including W-2 preparation and reporting. - Support accounting and administrative functions as needed. Qualifications - Previous payroll processing experience required. - Experience using**Paychex Flex**strongly preferred. - Experience handling payroll for**multiple companies, entities, or clients simultaneously**preferred. - Strong understanding of payroll laws, taxes, and wage regulations. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications - Experience working in a staffing, recruiting, construction, or multi-entity business environment. - Knowledge of certified payroll reporting is a plus. - Basic accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
