This position will work one-on-one or with groups of clients in the Preston Center. A Personal Trainer''s main responsibility is to help clients to set up realistic short term and long term goals and create an appropriate exercise program. They will work with clients in sessions helping them with their workouts using cardiovascular, strength and flexibility exercises, monitor and record progress.

The following duties are customary for this position, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs:

  • Ability to effectively train clients safely and successfully
  • Manage scheduling sessions, paperwork and all other items to track sessions
  • Ensures the safety of all clients by using proper form, technique and modifications
  • Familiar with departmental policies and procedures
  • Maintains and keeps up to date on all certifications

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a National Certification through an accredited recognized professional organization devoted to fitness and related areas, such as ACSM, ACE, AFAA, NSCA, CSCS, NASM, ISSA
  • Previous personal training experience
  • High School Diploma or GED

Additional Information:

Hourly Rate: $16.00
