The future is here! What youll do on a typical day This part-time faculty member's primary efforts focus on teaching and learning, academic excellence and student success. Primary responsibilities include designing and implementing learning strategies for students in the Pharmacy Technology Program. This position reports directly to the Dean, Health Sciences. Davidson-Davie Community College faculty members have the following responsibilities including, but not limited to:Promote the college mission, vision and valuesTeach assigned courses at various locations to meet program needs, including, but not limited to day, evening, weekend, and onlineEnsure that each class session contains essential curricular components, has appropriate content and pedagogy, and maintains currencyEvaluate student progress and provide appropriate, timely feedbackProvide and/or facilitate quality experiences in the learning environment(s) to meet program needsDevelop course syllabi and provide appropriate written information to students concerning course evaluation and criteriaIncorporate appropriate instructional technology to enhance student learning Assist in the evaluation of courses and programsPrepare and submit instructional records, reports and grades established by institutional policy.Participate in professional development to enhance instructional and technical skillsAttend appropriate internal and external meetingsAssist in student recruitment and retentionMaintain accessibility to students, faculty and staff Your attributes Successful candidates will possess:Required Qualifications: Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician OR Licensed Pharmacist in North CarolinaThree years of experience as a Licensed Pharmacist or Certified Pharmacy Technician in a pharmacy practice Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experienceExperience using a Learning Management System, such as Moodle, to deliver course content Work environment ADA requirements for this position include critical thinking skills with the ability to process information and exercise good judgment; ease of mobility within the work environment and other areas of campus and College locations; travel between campus locations may be required; and effective use of all forms of communication including use of computers.A climate controlled, contact center environment - filled with amazing people, incredible students and career opportunities.DISCLAIMER: The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this classification.
