The Indiana University (IU) School of Medicine (IUSM) Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) has a strong history of achievement in medical research, education, and patient care. PM&R, also known as physiatry, treats conditions involving the bodys nervous and musculoskeletal systems that limit a persons ability to function. The teaching faculty in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation oversees the only PM&R residency program in the state of Indiana and are eager to uphold the mission of educating the countrys next generation of physiatrists.
Job Summary
This position supports clinical research in the IU Locomotor Recovery Center at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana, focusing on improving walking and recovery outcomes for people with stroke, brain injury, and incomplete spinal cord injuries. This is a physical therapy plus clinical research role where you provide hands-on rehabilitation to research participants while helping manage, conduct, and document clinical research studies.
