Compensation: 60-80 hour based on experience, bonus

Position Summary

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Aurora, Colorado. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast-paced, well-supported urgent care environment.

You will be supported by experienced clinical teams, strong peer relationships, clear practice guidelines, and accessible medical leadership who provide real-time guidance and mentorship. The work is engaging and varied with a broad patient population and generally low-acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
  • Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging
  • Perform urgent care procedures, such as suturing and wound management
  • Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
  • Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR
  • Code and bill services appropriately
  • Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks
  • Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values

Required Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Colorado NP or PA license
  • Board certification required
  • PA: NCCPA certification
  • NP: ANCC or AANP certification, Family Nurse Practitioner required
  • Active DEA license or ability to obtain
  • Ability to treat patients of all ages
  • Active BLS certification
  • EHR proficiency
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
  • DOT certification required or willingness to obtain, fees covered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast-track experience
  • Strong procedural skills, suturing, splinting, wound care
  • Experience with initial X-ray interpretation prior to radiology over-read
