Job Summary

We are looking for a Pool Cashier at the Kirby Creek Natatorium to join our team!

The Pool Cashier is responsible for handling and accounting for money, filing, communicating by telephone, performing simple arithmetic, typing and analyzing data or report information, and dealing effectively with the public.

Essential Job Functions

• Customer Service: Greet guests, answer phone inquiries, and provide information regarding pool hours, programs, and fees.

• Cash Handling: Process cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.

• Transaction processing: Process payments and issue receipts to customers.

• End of Shift Tasks: Count the daily revenue and reconcile with reports.

• Cleaning and Organizing: Keep the checkout area clean and organized. This may include cleaning the counter and lobby area and replenishing supplies.

• Enforce entrance requirements and notify managers of questionable behavior and safety concerns

• Assist with coordinating emergency services if necessary.

• Bilingual is preferred, but not required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: A High School diploma or GED.

• Experience: Money handling preferred.

For city employees who are regular part time (10-19 hours per week) or seasonal hired placed on City payroll, the following benefits are provided:

• PARS - Public Agency Retirement System: the employee contributes 6.2% each paycheck to this retirement system and the city provides 1.3%. The employee does not pay into Social Security. All of the employees contributions may be withdrawn upon separating service from the city. The Citys contributions will not be paid unless the employee retires under the system.
• Part time or seasonal employees are not eligible for any paid leave or other benefits.
• Part time or seasonal employees are limited to working only 1,000 hours per 12-month period, unless the seasonal is project based for a specific period of time which is typically less than 12-months.
