Part Time Preschool Teacher (Afternoon)

Curious Explorers Academy is looking for a qualified, joyful, and collaborative preschool teacher to join our wonderful teaching team.

This is a part time, afternoon position. 

Hours: 12:00pm-5:45pm Monday- Friday
Location: Curious Explorers Academy, Richmond, CA

Program Description:

In each child, we strive to cultivate: autonomy, a sense of belonging, respect for others, and an enthusiasm for exploration and learning. We provide a play-rich, developmentally appropriate educational program aimed at fostering an engaged learning community of children, parents, and staff.

We are a mixed age classroom serving children 2-5 years old.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Be responsive to children's individual interests and ways of learning and exploring.

Give teachers their lunch breaks

Supervise a group of 24+ students with another teacher and aid.

Supervise children during nap time and outdoor play
Effectively communicate with parents via Brightwheel
Be responsible and prompt
Have a curiosity and a desire for life-long learning

Desired Qualifications:

MUST have 12 ECE units
1 to 2 years of experience with preschoolers
Some college
First Aid Training, CPR Training, Early Child Development Coursework
