At the level of Principal EEG Technologist, it is expected that the individual show self-direction and initiative with minimal supervision. The basic elements of EEG and EP acquisition should already be mastered as well as artifact detection/elimination skills. Advanced techniques are mastered and applied independently at this level, such as intra-operative monitoring of complex procedures. The technologist should be able to describe EEG and EP findings to junior faculty in a review-style format. Principal EEG Technologists must be flexible enough to learn new and advanced protocols when needed. Principal Technologists should serve as resources for junior staff. They are also expected to take responsibility for certain specific aspects of laboratory organization and serve as the lead lab team member in those individual areas of responsibility. The Principal Technologist will maintain ABRET registration credentials as a registered EEG and/or a Certified Neurological Intra-operative Monitorist (CNIM). They are also expected to acquire continuing education units as recommended by the national accrediting body in the field, and keep up to date with changes and advances in the field.

A minimum of three years of experience in the related fields is required for the PRN EEG title. Those who do not meet those requirements will be considered for the EEG Technologist title.

Staff Technologist Salary Range: $44.12 - $58.19/Hourly

Senior Technologist Salary Range: $47.78 - $63.04/Hourly

Principal Technologist Salary Range: $63.25 - $83.45/Hourly

• R. EEG T. Certification - required for Senior and Principal Tech
• BLS Certification - required for all Tech position
• CNIM Certification - preferred for Principal Tech
