At SCAD, you''ll prepare students for creative careers across the range of photography media, whether publishing books and magazines or exhibiting in museums and galleries around the world.

As a part-time photography professor, you'll join a roster of distinguished professionals with decades of experience across fine art photography, photojournalism, advertising, and more. SCAD''s primary objective is to provide high-quality educational opportunities to its students in a professional environment that fosters knowledge, creativity, discipline, and character.

You will:

• Prepare coursework, design a syllabus, and get syllabus approval
• Host office hours, midterm grade reviews, and more
• Provide students with extra help sessions, extended learning opportunities, and field trips outside of regular class hours
• Model professionalism, fulfill all grading and academic documentation requirements, and record attendance
• Assist with academic assessment and institutional effectiveness efforts
• Support departmental and university-wide initiatives through in-person and virtual attendance at events (e.g., faculty councils, admission activities, accreditation support, curriculum development, and exhibitions)

Minimum qualifications:

• Terminal degree in photography or a relevant discipline
• Academic and professional credentials to teach photography
• Two years of work experience in a related profession OR post-secondary teaching experience
