Part-Time Reading Tutor
Cuyahoga Heights Elementary is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Reading Tutor to support students in developing foundational literacy skills for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will focus on providing structured, research-based reading intervention aligned with the Science of Reading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide small group reading intervention to students across grade levels during afternoon hours
- Implement evidence-based practices grounded in Structured Literacy
- Track student progress and collaborate with classroom teachers and intervention teams
- Support students in developing phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or training in Structured Literacy and the Science of Reading
- Certification or training in Wilson Reading System or Orton-Gillingham (preferred, not required)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
