This position is Part-Time: 12-20 hours per week and works the following shifts: Monday through Saturday 9:00am - 2:00pm; 9:30am - 6:00pm; and 1:00pm - 6:00pm 

We are a Seasonal Business – we are busiest at the holidays, therefore; 

• You MUST be available to work Christmas Week (including 12/24) and February 13th & 14th 
• During peak holiday times (Christmas, Valentine's. etc), overtime and Sundays may be required. 
• Holl's Chocolates is closed the following: New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. 

Our Sales Associates are the most significant link in ensuring that our customers have a gratifying experience that will keep them coming back again and again. Sales Associates must deliver exceptional customer service, provide product knowledge as well as store history, and work as part of a team to meet and exceed company objectives. Our small team of Sales Associates relies on each other to maintain safety, cleanliness, productivity, and customer satisfaction. 

Basic job requirements include - 

• Must be available to work shifts listed 
• Must have graduated high school or equivalent 
• Must be well-groomed and professional in appearance and demeanor 
• Must be personable and pleasant in interactions with co-workers and customers 
• Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours at a time 
• Must be committed to maintaining a neat and clean workspace 
• Must possess basic math skills 
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds 
• Must possess a good level of manual dexterity 
• Must have a basic level of computer competency 
• Must be able to work quickly and accurately 
• Must be able to work alone and with others 
• Must be able to learn and describe all of our products 
• Must follow safe food handling procedures 

Successful Candidates for this position: 

• May have experience working in customer service and/or the foodservice/hospitality industry (not always required) 
• Have a reputation for giving great service to guests and co-workers 
• Can handle multiple tasks at one time 
• Has good problem solving skills 
• Has strong interpersonal skills Is able to work independently and as a member of a team 
• Communicates professionally in person and on the phone 
• Can maintain high energy during the entire shift 
• Self-motivated and enjoys learning 
• Passionate about great food 
• Has strong organizational and follow-through skills 
• Possesses a high level of ownership, accountability and initiative 

A typical day as a Holl's Retail Sales Associate may include - 

• Greeting customers and assisting them with whatever they may need 
• Answering questions regarding our shop, our history, chocolates, and prices 
• Assisting customers in selecting chocolates, wine & coffee for whatever occasion needed 
• Answering telephone calls and taking phone orders 
• Completing customer transactions using the Point-of-Sale system 
• Counting register drawers and preparing the bank deposit 
• Taking inventory and stocking shelves 
• Boxing chocolates for store purchase and mail orders 
• Cleaning the retail area and maintaining a beautiful store appearance 
• Staying productive and constructive during slow times by prepping packaging (folding boxes, organizing, etc.) 
• Creatively assisting in merchandising, display maintenance, and organization of storage areas 
• Diligent and precise in the packaging and presentation of our products
