The Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau School District is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified Part-time School Counselor at Ettrick Elementary School.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct guidance lessons for approximately 125 students.
  • Provide individual and group student supports.
  • Implement a comprehensive, developmentally appropriate school counseling curriculum focused on social-emotional learning, academic success, and career awareness.
  • Coordinate and deliver immediate crisis intervention and stabilization supports for students experiencing acute behavioral or emotional distress.
  • Utilize student performance, attendance, and behavioral data to identify at-risk students and design targeted counseling interventions.

District-Level Duties:

  • Engage in parent outreach.
  • Assist families with navigating district and community mental health supports.
  • Support the implementation of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
  • Consult with school staff and families to address student needs.

Qualifications:

  • Masters in School Counseling and appropriate Wisconsin licensure.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide equitable access to a comprehensive school counseling program focused on academic, social/emotional, and career development.
  • Strong skills in crisis intervention.
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and community members.
