Park Operations Coordinator

Seasonal Park Operations Coordinator

The City of Auburn is seeking a community focused Part-Time Seasonal Park Operations Coordinator to support our parks through September. This role includes supervising seasonal staff, monitoring park conditions, assisting with recreation programs, and serving as a friendly, visible ambassador in our public spaces.

Hours: Up to 30 per week

Pay: $22-$28/hour

Department: Communications & Community Engagement

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and schedule seasonal Park Rangers
  • Inspect parks, trails, courts, and playgrounds
  • Address safety and maintenance issues
  • Support events and recreation activities
  • Engage with visitors and promote safe park use

Requirements:

  • High school diploma (degree preferred)
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid Maine driver's license
  • Evening and weekend availability
