PART TIME SENIOR COUNSEL FOR INSURANCE DEFENSE FIRM

We are seeking part-time counsel for our insurance defense/personal injury firm located in Glen Head, New York.  The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant experience handling premises liability cases, including Labor Law allegations; dog bites; and automobile accident.  Trial experience is not required.  


The position requires:

• Court appearances in courts in Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties, as well as all counties in NYC; 
• Drafting answers to complaints;
• Preparing discovery demands and responses;
• Review and analysis of medical treatment records and preparing reports on same;
• Reporting to insurers
• Client contact
• Taking depositions, preparing and representing clients at depositions and reporting on testimony;
• Drafting and responding to motions

This is a great opportunity for someone who resides on Long Island.   We have been in business for over 25 years. The office provides a collegial work environment in a scenic town on the North Shore of Long Island.  Compensation is commensurate with experience.  Please do not apply if you do not have the necessary experience and cannot work at least 3 days per week.
