    Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist | Homebound Student

    About the Role: 

    AnthroMed Education is seeking a compassionate and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to provide homebound services to a 5th grade student in Philadelphia for the 2026–2027 school year.

    This is a part-time position providing approximately 90 minutes of speech-language services per week. The role is ideal for an SLP who is comfortable working one-on-one with a student with significant communication needs and has an interest in AAC, total communication, and functional language development. Homebound services are expected to continue through the school year or until an appropriate educational placement is identified for the student.

    Caseload Details:

    • Provide approximately 90 minutes of speech-language services per week.

    • Support a 5th grade student with significant Autism-related communication needs.

    • Provide individualized, one-on-one speech-language intervention in a homebound setting.

    • Focus on expressive and receptive language development.

    • Utilize a total communication approach, which may include: 

      • Gestures

      • Pictures

      • Verbal communication

      • Other appropriate communication supports

    • Support development of functional communication and pragmatic language skills.
    • Help the student communicate for a variety of purposes, including:

      • Commenting

      • Describing

      • Requesting

      • Asking for help

      • Asking questions

      • Refusing

    • Work on following one-step directions involving spatial and quantitative concepts.

    • Provide engaging, play-based and structured language activities based on the student's individual goals.

    • Collect data and monitor progress toward IEP goals.

    • Collaborate with the student's educational team and other professionals as appropriate.

    Responsibilities:

    • Implement speech-language therapy aligned with the student's IEP.

    • Develop engaging and individualized treatment activities.

    • Support the student's use of AAC and other total communication strategies.

    • Monitor and document student progress.

    • Collect data related to speech-language goals.

    • Communicate with the educational team regarding progress, needs, and recommendations.

    • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with Pennsylvania requirements.

    • Participate in IEP-related meetings and consultation as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders.

    • Pennsylvania SLP License.

    • Pennsylvania Educational Specialist Certificate.

    • Experience working with students with Autism and significant communication needs preferred.

    • Experience with AAC and total communication approaches preferred.

    • Strong understanding of functional communication and language development.

    • Ability to work independently in a homebound setting.

    • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
