Position: Middle School Spanish Teacher (Grades 5-8) Schedule: Part-Time (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; 8:00 am to 3:00 pm) Compensation: Per diem, based on degree ($243-$248 per day)

Sts. John & Paul School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School Spanish Teacher to join our faculty. We are looking for an educator who fosters a love of language and culture while creating a positive, engaging classroom environment that supports the academic and personal growth of our students.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Spanish instruction for middle school students (Grades 5-8) aligned with curriculum standards.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and language acquisition.
• Assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration.
• Integrate cultural experiences and authentic language-learning activities into daily instruction.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support the mission and values of Sts. John & Paul School.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
• New York State teaching certification (or eligibility) preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written Spanish.
• Experience teaching middle school students is preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills, with a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
