Speech/Language Therapist — Part-Time

SOS Personnel is hiring a licensed Speech/Language Therapist for a part-time, federally contracted position serving students at San Ildefonso Day School, a Bureau of Indian Education school located just outside Santa Fe, New Mexico. This is meaningful, niche work for a therapist who wants real impact without a full-time caseload.

The Role
  • Hours: ~5 hours/week, flexible within the school's 8:00 AM–4:30 PM day
  • Location: San Ildefonso Day School, 36 Tunyo Po, Santa Fe, NM 87506
  • Contract term: August 2026 – July 2027, with potential renewal through 2031
  • Pay: Competitive hourly rate
  • Caseload: Small, individualized — screening, evaluation, and 1:1/small-group therapy for students with speech, language, and hearing-related needs
What You'll Do
  • Screen new students and all incoming kindergartners
  • Conduct standardized evaluations and complete them within the required 60-day window
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group therapeutic intervention
  • Collaborate with the school's IEP team and Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
  • Conduct audiometric (hearing) screenings
  • Support generalization of skills into the classroom and home
What We're Looking For
  • Active state-issued license as a Speech/Language Pathologist/Therapist (ASHA certification a plus)
  • Experience in a school-based or pediatric therapy setting
  • Comfort and genuine interest in working within a Native American/Pueblo community — prior experience with Native American students strongly preferred
  • Ability to pass a Bureau of Indian Education security clearance/background check
  • Self-directed, comfortable providing your own therapy materials and supplies
  • New Mexico residency or willingness to travel to the Santa Fe area
Why This Role

  • Purposeful work: San Ildefonso is a small, semi-rural Pueblo community where consistent, high-quality providers are hard to find — and deeply valued. You'll be filling a real need, not just a slot.
  • Flexibility: A true part-time commitment that can complement a private practice, another school contract, or a phased return to work.
  • Stability: Backed by a federal contract with multi-year renewal potential, so this isn't a one-semester gig.
  • Support: SOS Personnel handles the contracting, credentialing, and paperwork — you focus on the kids.
To Apply

Send your resume, copy of your active state SLP license, and a brief note on any experience working with Native American or tribal communities. Apply by June 26, 2026 to be considered for this contract.
Compensation: $60.00 per hour

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
