Part-Time Student Assistant (Sustainability)-2

The position provides assistance and support to coordinate program(s) and to promote the activities of the assigned program, including clerical support to the assigned office using computerized applications, outdoor work maintaining sustainable landscaping, and student outreach through sustainable workshops and programs.

• Must be a current HCC student.

• Provides special event support college-wide and in the community.
• Create videos, pod casts, social media content, pictures, articles, and other digital content to document sustainable practices.
• Develop and maintain campus-based sustainability projects.
• Help organize and facilitate sustainability meetings with student groups.

• Data collection.
• Performs other similar and related duties as assigned.

Prefer applicants with:

• Interest in environmental education, community engagement, sustainability, and leadership.

• Ability to work outside.

• Experience with event planning, meeting facilitation and logistics.

• Strong experience using Office 365 applications.

• Ability to commit 8-15 hours per week and the flexibility to attend meetings and events.

• Ability to work at other HCC campuses.

Supplemental Job Information:

• This part-time position will not exceed 20 hours of work in a week.

• The supervisor will establish the work schedule upon hiring.

• Applicants must be able to work flexible hours (including some evenings/weekends).

• Bilingual in Spanish and presentation experience a plus.
