Temporary PositionPosition SummaryWe are seeking a professional and organized Part-Time Temporary Administrative Assistant to provide high-level administrative, clerical, and front office support. This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors and stakeholders while helping maintain efficient day-to-day office operations.This role will also provide limited support to mentoring and program initiatives to help ensure continuity of services during staffing transitions. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting multiple functions within a collaborative nonprofit environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative & Executive Support
  • Provide administrative support including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments
  • Draft, edit, and format correspondence, reports, and internal communications
  • Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems
  • Assist with preparation of presentations, meeting materials, and board documents
  • Track deadlines, tasks, and follow-ups to support organizational priorities
Front Office & Reception Duties
  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors and directing them appropriately
  • Answer, screen, and route phone calls while responding to general inquiries
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail, deliveries, and correspondence
  • Maintain a professional and welcoming office environment
Clerical & Office Operations
  • Perform data entry and maintain databases, records, and documentation
  • Operate office equipment and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
  • Order and maintain office supplies and materials
  • Support general office organization and administrative workflows
Program & Mentoring Support
  • Assist with scheduling mentoring sessions, workshops, and events
  • Maintain participant records, attendance tracking, and program files
  • Support communication with mentors, mentees, and community partners
  • Provide logistical support for meetings and special events
General Support
  • Complete forms and documentation in accordance with organizational procedures
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support day-to-day operations
Cross-Functional SupportThis role includes cross-functional training to help ensure uninterrupted services during planned or unplanned staff absences. The Administrative Assistant must be willing to support essential organizational functions outside of their primary assignment as needed.Flexibility, teamwork, and adaptability are key components of this position.Required Skills & Abilities

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior administrative, receptionist, or office support experience preferred
  • Nonprofit or education-related experience is a plus
  • Experience planning and coordinating events preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer work
  • Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds
