Position Summary
The Temporary Part-Time School Nutrition Support Specialist provides administrative and
operational support to the District Lunch Coordinator to ensure compliance with federal and
state school nutrition program requirements. This position assists with student meal benefit
applications, recordkeeping, data management, reporting, and other program support functions
that help maintain efficient and compliant school nutrition operations across the district.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Meal Benefit Application Processing
? Conduct second-party reviews of free and reduced-price meal applications to ensure
accuracy and compliance with USDA and state requirements.
? Verify application information and identify discrepancies requiring follow-up.
? Maintain confidentiality of student and family information.
? Assist with application filing, organization, and record retention.
Administrative Support
? Provide administrative assistance to the District Lunch Coordinator.
? Enter, update, and maintain student nutrition program records and databases.
? Assist with preparation of reports, correspondence, and program documentation.
Program Operations Support
? Assist with communication regarding meal program eligibility and documentation
requirements.
? Assist with special projects related to school nutrition operations and compliance.
? Support direct certification, verification, or other program activities as assigned.
General Duties
? Respond to inquiries from school staff regarding nutrition program procedures.
? Participate in training related to school nutrition regulations and district procedures.
? Perform other duties as assigned by the District Lunch Coordinator or district
administration.
