This part-time Tutor position involves providing individual and small group tutoring to support coursework, fostering student independence and success.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Tutoring and the Dean of Teaching and Learning Support Division, the Tutor works in various settings (in-person, online, classroom) to assist a diverse student body.
Responsibilities include explaining concepts, offering constructive feedback, maintaining records, collaborating with faculty and students, and engaging in professional development.
Qualifications include a degree or coursework in CISS or related discipline, subject matter expertise, and experience working with diverse learners.
Preferred qualifications are higher education tutoring experience, familiarity with online meeting tools, and community college environment knowledge.
