All interested applicants are encouraged to apply. \n \nAbout This Position\n \nSchedule will be from 8am to 1pm Monday to Friday with Wednesday been off.\n \nWe have 4 positions in Los Angeles and we have 4 positions in Santa Clarita\n \nThis position is located onsite at a correctional facility\n \nAssist in providing commissary operations and services to assigned KCN Commissary location.\n \nEssential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities\n\n Delivery of individually packaged orders to inmates at specified correctional facilities with the supervision of a correctional officer in a timely and efficient manner including but not limited to:\n Positively identify the inmate.\n Obtain signature of inmate on 2 ply order receipt.\n Forward 2nd copy of order receipt back to inmate.\n Note any and all discrepancies or damages on both copies of order receipt.\n Retain signed copy of order receipt.\n Retain and dispose of all plastic bags and trash generated in process.\n Account for all signed receipts.\n \n\n Shared Vending Responsibilities\n Fill vending machines; ensuring machines are full and product is properly rotated.\n Maintain and clean vending machines.\n Take readings off machines.\n Count money from vending machine.\n Reconcile discrepancies.\n Keep manager informed of supplies needed.\n Maintain records of discarded product and report to management.\n Maintain inventory in all vending machines.\n \n\n Responsible for sending required information and reports, including timesheets, to Regional Distribution Center.\n Maintain all KCN areas/equipment/products in a neat, clean, and orderly manner and maintain American Correctional Association & American Jail Association standards/guidelines when applicable.\n Attend orientation and training, annual on-site security classes and remain current in certifications as required by the Facility.\n Follow all the policies and procedures outlined in the KCN Best Business Practices Guide at all times.\n Complete miscellaneous duties assigned by KCN Commissary Manager.\n Other duties as assigned.\n \nWhat You'll Need\n\n High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n Must be at least 18 years of age.\n Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.\n Ability to write simple correspondence.\n Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.\n Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.\n Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.\n Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.\n Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\n Valid Photo ID.\n Must be a self-starter who can work well with people in a correctional facility in a professional, upbeat manner.\n Ability to work in a correctional environment.\n Ability to work well with ever changing priorities and or situations.\n Ability to lift up to 50lbs.\n Must be a self-starter who can work well with people in a correctional facility in a professional, upbeat manner.\n Familiarity with computers (including Microsoft Office programs) preferred.\n \nBenefits\n \nKeefe offers comprehensive benefits to all regular-full time employees: \n\n Medical w/prescription coverage\n Benefit Credit received when enrolled in a TKC medical plan, to help offset your benefit costs.
