At PetVet Care Centers, our mission is to improve the lives of animals and people — providing exceptional and compassionate care at every stage — for all the moments that matter.
Because life is better with pets.
We deliver the Ultimate Care Experience — every pet, every client, every time. That starts with a Culture of Care that supports our team members as much as the pets and clients we serve.
With more than 420 locally led hospitals and over 11,000 team members nationwide, we offer:
You care for pets. We care for you.
Position Overview
Care for pets. Maintain balance and flexibility. Nurture ongoing care.
Join our team as a Part-Time Veterinarian with predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment. You'll enjoy flexibility while working alongside a locally led care team supported by national resources.
Whether you're balancing family commitments, pursuing personal interests, or simply seeking a more sustainable pace, we're here to support you. This role allows you to stay clinically engaged without sacrificing balance, connection, or continuity of care. We're flexible, open to conversation, and committed to understanding your availability and goals—and building a schedule that works for both you and the hospital.
Lake Norman @ Mooresville Animal Hospital is a full-service companion animal hospital that is dedicated to providing the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion, skill, and a strong emphasis on client education. Our clinic is primarily a general practice; however, we also see exotic pets in addition to dogs and cats, offering a wide variety of cases and opportunities for professional growth. Our hospital is a modern, state-of-the-art facility equipped with advanced diagnostics and technology, including dental radiography, digital radiography, and a complete in-house laboratory. We are proud to offer high-quality veterinary care in a comfortable and welcoming setting. In addition to a permanent associate role, we also have relief shifts available with flexible scheduling for those seeking additional variety in their professional life.
Our hospital is located in the northern part of the Charlotte metropolitan area, providing convenient access to both the tranquility of small-town life and the energy of the city. The area is minutes from the beauty and recreation of Lake Norman, which offers boating, jet skiing, kayaking, and hiking at Lake Norman State Park. Uptown Charlotte is only forty-five minutes away, offering professional sports, theater, live concerts, and diverse cultural experiences. Mooresville is widely recognized as the home of many NASCAR racing teams, drivers, and technology suppliers, as well as an IndyCar team and drivers. This strong connection to the motorsports industry has earned the city the nickname "Race City USA."
Please note: Compensation for Part Time roles is prorated based on experience and hours/shifts worked. Salary ranges listed in this posting reflect full-time roles.
