    Description

    Position Overview:

    As a PART TIME Warehouse Selector your responsibilities include but are not limited to selecting, storing, packing and monitoring the inventory of products and equipment, and performing tasks related to the shipping and transporting of customer orders. The selection tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest quality standard(s) of personal safety, pallet construction with product integrity as a core focus, and efficiency through time management.

    Responsibilities:

    Uses powered industrial equipment (center riders, long-forks, forklifts etc) in a safe manner, employing proper lifting techniques when performing job tasks, and adhering to the safety rules at all timesFollowing all pre-shift and post shift procedures such as but not limited to - clocking in, stretching, obtaining voice equipment, pre-trip inspection of equipment, cleaning of equipment, returning voice equipment; parking equipment in designated areasUtilizing the voice selection system to travel aisle ways and select product(s) based on customer orders dictated through the systemProperly constructing a pallet utilizing the interlocking case method, attaching selection labels to each in the correct position, securing appropriately with plastic wrap while maintaining product quality at all timesMaintaining quality standards of product throughout shift - working in a damage free mannerTransporting completed pallets of selected products to designated bay location(s) based on assigned transactionAchieving and maintaining established productivity standards of selection based on company standardsSelect product in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures based on the assigned locationAssist in cleaning and maintaining a safe working environment in the warehouseFlexibility to work various or additional shifts, as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPerform other duties as assigned by leadership

    Varying temperatures based on assigned working environment

    Schedule:

    4:00pm start time M,T,W,R (no Fridays at this time)1 weekend day requiredMinimum 16hrs per week8 hours total required on weekendTRAINING - 1 week FT schedule M-F preferredIf unable to make the 1 week commitment you must commit to Monday and Tuesday at minimum (8 hours, 8am-430pm) for onboarding and pallet jack certificationAdditional training will be required after certification and will be discussed during interview.

    Experience:

    Preferred: One (1) year distribution, warehouse or selection experiencePreferred: MHE experience (Electric pallet jacks such as center riders or long forks; forklifts)Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership

    Skills:

    Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shiftPhysical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; the ability to operate required material handling equipment - getting on and off equipment throughout shiftStrong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basisOrganizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlinesWorking in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest qualityQuality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives
