Utz Quality Foods is hiring a Part-Time Warehouse Utility Associate at our Columbia MD Distribution Center. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying organized, and supporting sales teams by keeping product flowing smoothly. Youll help maintain inventory accuracy, rotate stock, and prepare product orders - all while working roughly 28 hours per weekday shift in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and close the distribution center as scheduled.
- Unload trailers and verify incoming inventory for accuracy.
- Rotate product to maintain freshness and maximize shelf life.
- Pull and prepare product to fill daily and extra sales orders.
- Maintain accurate daily inventory using handheld devices.
- Accept and process return-to-stock stale and damaged product.
- Load trailers with returned cardboard and damaged goods.
- Perform general maintenance tasks such as cleaning and mowing when needed.
Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid drivers license.
- Must have or be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate inventory management.
- Basic math and writing skills to track and record inventory.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions related to inventory needs.
- Effective verbal communication and ability to follow written directions.
- Must be able to operate a route sales step van safely and competently.
- Comfortable using proper lifting techniques and able to transport products.
