UpBeat believes economics should not be a barrier to music education, and the organization and its donors provide many scholarships to underserved youth every year. Their teachers are a passionate group who make a difference in the lives of each and every student - they are not only outstanding musicians, but relate to young people and their unique needs. Individual and peer-based small group learning environments help to facilitate social and emotional growth, while students learn the fundamentals of music performance and theory, gaining confidence and self-esteem along the way. UpBeat currently employs 19 instructors and is excited to welcome more teachers to their team!POSITION DESCRIPTION: The new instructor will focus on piano instruction. If the instructor is interested in giving voice or other instrument lessons, a small student base can be provided in those areas.The instructor will work with children ages 5 to 17.
