Job Overview:
My client is a highly respected St. Louis law firm is seeking a Partner-level Litigation Attorney with a strong background in commercial litigation. This is an opportunity to grow your practice on a flexible, entrepreneurial platform-without sacrificing the resources and reputation of a leading firm.
You'll have full support to build or bring a team, expand your client base, and focus on high-level legal work while the firm handles operational infrastructure (billing, IT, admin).
Practice Areas:- Business disputes
- Contract litigation
- Real estate litigation
- Business divorce & internal conflicts
What You'll Do:- Lead complex commercial litigation as first-chair counsel (state & federal courts)
- Manage cases from start to trial, including strategy and execution
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and briefs
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Oversee discovery and case management
- Maintain and grow a portable book of business
- Mentor junior attorneys and help build a high-performing team
- Collaborate with partners on complex legal matters
What You Bring:- 10-15+ years of commercial litigation experience
- Proven first-chair trial experience
- Portable book of business ($500K+)
- Strong skills in:
- Legal writing & motion practice
- Depositions & trial prep
- Case strategy & management
- Ability to independently handle high stakes matters
- Track record of client development and relationship management
