About this role

We are looking for a senior corporate attorney with 10-15+ years of experience to help lead and grow our corporate practice at a collaborative, boutique law firm working at the intersection of law and finance. What will you be doing?

  • Leading and independently executing corporate transactions (venture capital, private equity, M&A) from inception through closing
  • Serving as primary client contact for sophisticated counterparties including entrepreneurs, family offices, and institutional investors
  • Helping shape the structure, service offerings, and long-term growth strategy of the corporate practice
  • Collaborating cross-practice with the firm's funds and debt teams on bespoke, strategic matters
  • Supporting and mentoring junior attorneys, including a recently hired associate with M&A background

Key Requirements

  • 10-15+ years of transactional experience at a large or mid-sized law firm (big law background required, but does not need to be currently in big law)
  • Deep expertise in at least one of: venture capital, private equity, M&A, or general corporate/company-side work
  • Ability to run transactions independently with limited supervision — must have the reps to be fully autonomous
  • No more than ~1 year of in-house experience (longer in-house stints are a dealbreaker)
  • Ideally brings 1-2 client relationships, or is exceptionally strong technically as a pure executor
