Job Summary: The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully handling complex private equity transactions, providing strategic legal advice, and building strong client relationships. As a Partner, you will play a key role in expanding the firm's Private Equity practice, mentoring junior attorneys, and contributing to the firm's overall growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Management and Development:
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential private equity clients.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing high-level strategic legal advice.
    • Identify opportunities to expand the firm's services to existing clients and attract new clients.
  • Transactional Work:
    • Lead and manage complex private equity transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
    • Oversee due diligence processes, negotiate and draft transaction documents, and manage deal closings.
    • Advise clients on structuring and financing private equity deals, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Practice Development:
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of the firm's strategic plan for the Private Equity practice.
    • Collaborate with other practice areas and offices to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
    • Participate in industry events, conferences, and professional organizations to enhance the firm's visibility and reputation in the private equity sector.
  • Leadership and Mentoring:
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior attorneys and support staff.
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes professional growth and development.
    • Lead by example in demonstrating the firm's commitment to excellence, integrity, and client service.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction of practice.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in private equity law, with a significant portion at a reputable law firm.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and closing complex private equity transactions.
  • Strong client relationship management skills and a demonstrated ability to develop new business.
  • Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across practice areas and offices.
