Position Summary
The Partner, Supply Chain Consulting is a senior market-facing leader responsible for driving business development, originating and expanding client relationships, and leading the delivery of complex supply chain engagements. This role combines deep supply chain expertise with a passion for business growth, serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a catalyst for the firm’s market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Client & Business Development
- Set vision and strategy for supply chain consulting service development and market expansion.
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with C-suite executives, supply chain leaders, and key decision makers at client organizations.
- Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities, leveraging industry expertise and personal networks to grow the firm’s presence nationally and locally.
- Drive business development initiatives, including proposals, client pitches, and thought leadership.
- Manage individual client relationships and contribute to account management for leading supply chain clients.
- Collaborate with firm leadership and subject matter experts to develop and capture new business.
- Achieve annual revenue targets through lead generation, opportunity qualification, and closure.
Leadership & Growth
- Serve as a senior leader within the Supply Chain Consulting Practice, playing a pivotal role in service development and market expansion.
- Mentor and develop junior professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Continuously refine supply chain consulting methodologies to provide best-in-class solutions.
- Collaborate across all firm practices to advise clients on process optimization, automation, and technology enablement.
Supply Chain Delivery Leadership
- Guide project teams in designing tailored solutions that meet client goals around service, cost, and efficiency.
- Maintain high levels of client engagement, including executive-level communication and stakeholder management.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in supply chain technology, delivery models, and regulations to inform client strategies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of professional services experience in supply chain consulting, including significant business development and client delivery leadership.
- Proven track record of personally generating significant annual professional services revenue (e.g., $5M+), with a history of originating and closing new business.
- Deep expertise in supply chain strategy, operations, and transformation that includes in-depth understanding of Blue Yonder and other “best-of-breed” technology solutions for supply chain, including SCP, WMS, TMS and retail solutions.
- Experience leading client engagements in complex supply chain projects.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills; strong professional presence with the ability to hold meaningful dialogue with senior executives.
- Ability to attract, develop, and mentor high-performing teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with digital supply chain solutions, automation, or AI in logistics.
- Knowledge of specific industry supply chain models (e.g., retail, healthcare, manufacturing).
- Certifications such as CSCP, CLTD, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma.
- Prior industry leadership experience (e.g., supply chain director, COO).
