Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled Partner with a portable book of business to join our legal team. Responsibilities
Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide array of business law matters including
Draft, negotiate, and review legal documents and agreements to ensure the company's full legal rights.
Handle any legal disputes, including risk management, legal liabilities, and compliance issues.
Develop and implement company policies, procedures, and guidelines on legal matters.
Liaise with external legal counsel to manage and coordinate various legal initiatives.
Participate in the formulation of general management policy as a member of the executive management team.
Keep abreast of all laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting the company's operations, and ensure the company is in compliance.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admitted to practice law in NY and/or NJ.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in general corporate and/or securities matters.
Portable book of business valued at $300,000 minimum is required.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.
Strong analytical ability and foresight to identify potential legal issues and devise comprehensive solutions.
Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
