Job Details

We are seeking a Partner specializing in workers' compensation defense to join our reputable firm.

The ideal candidate will have a portable book of business amounting to 50+ case files.

Responsibilities:

• Representing our clients in all stages of Workers' Compensation litigation.
• Developing and implementing defense strategies and negotiating settlements.
• Handling a high volume of cases from inception through resolution.
• Conducting legal research and analysis, drafting pleadings and motions.
• Providing legal advice to our clients, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations.
• Participating in trials, depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and hearings.
• Working closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Workers' Compensation laws and regulations.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in workers' compensation defense.
• Portable business with a minimum of 50 transferrable case files.
• Proven track record of successful defense strategies and case resolutions.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to handle a high volume of cases and work under pressure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in legal research and writing.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• High level of integrity and professional ethics.
