Description

Job Overview: Permanent hybrid position (3 days/week in-office) in Philadelphia, PA to focus on partnership tax reviews, consulting, and client service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage IRC 704b accounts.
  • Manage client services teams, plan and execute tax projects across industries, and provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance.
  • Market, sell, design, and implement tax-planning strategies while managing budgets.
  • Develop, train, mentor staff, and assess performance for reviews.
  • Research tax matters, primarily Sub-chapter K partnership taxation, using tax software for returns and research.
  • Respond to IRS and tax authority inquiries.
  • Maintain client communication to manage expectations, meet deadlines, and build relationships.
  • Support business development, including proposals and pursuits.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA certification.
  • 6-10 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience in public accounting or combined industry/public accounting.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP, partnership returns, joint venture and non-corporate entity tax returns, and Sub-chapter K partnership taxation.
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong leadership, business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • From a top 10 accounting firm.
  • Minimal job hopping preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with partnership structuring, entity formation, mergers, and acquisitions.
