The Parking Reform Network is a small national nonprofit working to change parking policy across the United States. We work with local advocates, allied organizations, and policymakers to build strong coalitions that educate, advocate, activate, and legislate. This is the role that fosters and grows the network behind that work.

Position Overview

The Community and Partnerships Manager plays a central role in building and activating the network in our name, Parking Reform Network. You recruit partners and advocates, onboard them and help them achieve their goals. You build the systems that keep hundreds of relationships warm, and connect the right people to the right resources at the right time. You will steer our Local Campaign Support Program, and be integral in developing our webinars and policy cookbook. You don't need to come to this as a parking-policy expert. The President and our policy network carry the deep policy advice; you are the organizer, the match-maker and a program developer; you make the network run. Our marketing agency and the Development Manager close sponsorship and donor revenue; you surface relevant leads within the network. This position reports to the President and manages our Community & Communications Coordinator's day-to-day scope and workload. We're building this role to grow with the organization and the person in it: based on performance and program growth, we see potential for it to expand into a Community and Partnerships Director role over time.

Primary Responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard partners and advocates, following leads and giving new members of the network a strong first experience.
• Build relationship systems: structured check-ins and bi-directional news-sharing (their events, openings, and wins flow to us; our resources and opportunities flow to them) so no relationship goes cold.
• Match resources to needs: know PRN's products cold (maps, cookbook, guides, webinars, research library) and offer them before drawing on the President's time; tee up policy or strategy meetings with the President or staff when applicable.
• Run the Local Campaign Support Program: oversee partner selection, coaching, logistics, and delivery, pulling content, maps, and outcomes from across the team and contractors.
• Convene and run the organizing roundtable (policy content comes from the President, fellows, and the bench), you help to move it toward partner-driven framework over time.
• Recruit, manage, and deploy the policy bench and fellows for testimony, press, and white papers.
• Track and follow-up on inbound requests for help, speaking invitations, and media mentions, so nothing falls through.
• Spot and surface opportunity: flag winnable reform openings and route sponsor and partner leads to the proper leads.
• Direct the Community & Communications Coordinator's day-to-day scope and workload (performance reviews and compensation stay with the President); work together on all things members and network, including the event/webinar topic pipeline, outreach, and newsletter content.
• Partner with the Development Manager and Marketing firm on brand voice and written content, and on developing members and leads together: what you learn about a partner or advocate through the network can turn into a giving conversation, and what Development hears from donors can shape who you prioritize reaching next.
• Keep the President informed of anything that needs attention without waiting to be asked, and flag your own capacity constraints before they become a problem.

Qualifications

• A relationship operator with a background in account management, sales, lobbying or government affairs, association or membership management, or coalition coordination.
• A systems-builder: you don't keep hundreds of relationships in your head, you build the cadence and CRM habits that keep them visible and engaged.
• Relationship-generous: you invest in people because influence and revenue follow good relationships, not because they're the point of them.
• Self-directed and proactive: you see the opportunity in a trip or a meeting and act on it without being asked.
• Interested in parking, land-use, and housing policy; fluency is a plus, but it's learnable.
• Open to AI: we leverage new technology appropriately and intentionally, and you're interested in learning how to leverage AI and build code to generate actionable insights.

Details

• Location: Remote, US. Geographically flexible; our network is national.
• Compensation: $75,000 to $85,000, plus benefits (QSEHRA health reimbursement, 401(k) employer match).
• Type: Full-time, exempt.
