About the Team & Role

The Partnerships Strategic Planning team is a highly dynamic group focused on tracking, evaluating, and driving strategic decisions for the global Disney Direct-to-Consumer portfolio. We also ensure smooth operations and implementation of strategic initiatives through coordination with our content and business partners across the organization. Working closely with service leads and the Head of Content Planning & Partnerships, DTC—and in lockstep with content acquisition and operational teams—we aggregate and elevate perspectives on high‑priority strategic questions and scope and execute analyses to inform goal setting. The team collaborates cross‑functionally across a wide range of partner teams to design and optimize workflows, with an eye on content‑specific needs both domestically and internationally to drive overall DTC growth.

We are seeking a highly motivated Partnerships Strategic Planning Analyst who will be an exceptional addition to our team. This role focuses on synthesizing data from business partners to solve key business problems, assist with process documentation and improvement, and help develop reporting and materials for a cohesive DTC portfolio narrative.

The role requires attention to detail, a strong sense of accountability, high EQ, and collaboration skills. The ideal candidate will have a background in management consulting, investment banking, or experience working in a strategy or business planning role within the media & entertainment and/or direct-to-consumer industry, loves to solve problems, and is intellectually curious.

  • Develop a strong working knowledge of Hulu’s content portfolio, content operations, and partner requirements; support cross-platform audits and pre-launch quality checks to ensure title readiness, brand standards, and viewer experience.

  • Build and maintain financial and analytical models using user, performance, and forecast data to support portfolio planning and operational decision-making.

  • Analyze financial and operational performance data to surface trends and flag potential risks or areas of opportunity for further review.

  • Use analytics tools and dashboards to track performance of digital products, content, and initiatives, and summarize insights for stakeholders.

  • Support structured analysis of business questions by compiling data, summarizing insights, and contributing inputs to stakeholder recommendations.

  • Maintain and update internal databases related to the licensed content portfolio, including deal terms, performance metrics, and operational documentation to support the Licensing COE.

  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support reviews of operating performance, selected content deals, industry trends, and portfolio reporting.

Operational Reviews & Evaluations

  • Validate and monitor key data sources through routine accuracy and completeness checks; document issues and coordinate resolution with partner teams.

  • Serve as the day-to-day team POC for data-related requests, partnering with product, content acquisition, and data teams to help coordinate intake requests, clarify requirements, and route to the right owners.

  • Research and evaluate emerging AI tools and large language models to identify opportunities for streamlining analytical workflows, surfacing insights faster, and bringing recommendations to the team for adoption.

  • Assist with documentation, archival, and process consolidation efforts to improve consistency and transparency in portfolio management.

Partner Operations

  • Work effectively in a team environment with cross‑functional teams, including Marketing, Product, Content, and Ad Sales, to support Hulu business needs.

  • Support development and implementation of guidelines and playbooks for operational workflows across the streaming value chain, optimizing for Hulu-specific needs.

  • Coordinate the cadence for updates and meetings with the Licensing COE, while ensuring rigorous documentation auditing and tracking of content deals are integrated into the workflow.

Communication & Presentation

  • Help prepare impactful presentation materials (decks, notes, write-ups) that communicate revenue projections, drivers, risks, and opportunities.

  • Support communication between content/technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making.
