Parts & Inventory Foreman

We are seeking a dependable and organized Parts & Inventory Foreman to oversee our logistics and inventory operations. This role is responsible for managing inventory levels, ordering and receiving parts, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring technicians have the materials needed to complete work efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and experience in inventory management within a mechanical, construction, or industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the parts and inventory department.
  • Order, return, receive, inspect, and stock parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with service technicians, shop personnel, and vendors to ensure timely availability of parts.
  • Conduct routine inventory counts and annual physical inventories.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts warehouse.
  • Research parts availability, pricing, and alternative sourcing options.
  • Process warranty returns, core returns, and defective parts.
  • Supervise and train parts personnel as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and inventory control standards.
  • Analyze inventory trends and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in parts, inventory, warehouse, or supply chain management.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems, vendor websites and applications, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (or willingness to become certified).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse/shop environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in construction, heavy equipment, and fleet maintenance.
  • Knowledge of purchasing practices and vendor management.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
