Assists in maintaining parts, fluids, ties, and tool inventories; opens, closes, and updates service work orders pertaining to customer needs. Assist in performing semi-skilled and administrative work in maintaining the facilities and equipment of the Fleet Services division.
The employee will have the responsibility of:
- Opening, closing, and updating service work orders
- Documenting and tracking the customer information and service work needs and communicates this information to a supervisor and technician
- Inputting the customer and vehicle/equipment information into the fleet management system
- Notifying customers when vehicle/equipment is ready for pickup by email, phone, or text
- Receiving, stocks and issues inventory items to technicians, customers, and ensures they are issued to the appropriate work order(s).
- Periodically driving to pick-up parts, as far as Dallas or San Antonio
- Updating inventory listings in the applicable database, including reconciliation of inventory monthly and annually
- Assisting in the budgeting process throughout the fiscal year
- Obtaining and inputs daily fuel readings as tasked to include receiving and tracking fuel
- Maintaining parts room, and other areas as assigned, clean, safe, secure, and well organized
- Manufacturing hydraulic and pneumatic hoses from available stock
- Installing annual registration stickers and license plates as required
The work environment will require the employee to:
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock

Required Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; and
- Minimum of one (1) year of related experience in warehouse/purchasing, equipment maintenance, and/or service writing; or
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience
Special Requirements:
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license within ninety (90) days of hire
- Must have a valid driver's license by date-of-hire
- Participates in On-Call program within six months of hire - approximately one week per month
