We are seeking a Parts Cleaner Associate to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. In this role, you will be responsible for general labor duties such as cleaning and removing burrs and chips from machined parts, transferring parts at production lines, and supporting daily production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review route and process sheets for instructions
- Inspect parts for visual defects
- Remove excess burrs, chips, and casing sand from machined parts
- Load and unload parts in parts washers
- Apply rust inhibitor to all cast iron and steel parts
- Conduct final part counts, review paperwork for errors, and ensure tags are properly completed
- Package parts appropriately to prevent damage during transport
- Perform cleaning and routine maintenance while maintaining proper water levels daily
- Assist with process improvements to eliminate waste and reduce costs
- Transfer parts throughout production lines as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday , 7:00 PM – 3:30 AM
- Will train on First Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) for 4–6 weeks
