International Wire is seeking an organized and dependable Parts Clerk to support our maintenance and operations teams across our Canastota and Oneida, New York locations.
This position plays an important role in keeping plant operations running efficiently by ensuring maintenance parts, tools, and supplies are accurately received, stored, tracked, and available when needed.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and able to work closely with maintenance technicians, supervisors, vendors, and other plant teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, label, and properly store incoming maintenance parts, materials, and supplies.
- Maintain an organized and accurate parts room, stockroom, or maintenance inventory area.
- Issue parts and supplies to maintenance technicians and other authorized employees.
- Track inventory usage and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify items that need to be reordered.
- Assist with purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor follow-up.
- Match packing slips, purchase orders, and received materials to ensure accuracy.
- Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
- Research and locate replacement parts using part numbers, equipment manuals, vendor catalogs, and online resources.
- Maintain accurate records for critical spare parts and frequently used maintenance items.
- Help identify obsolete, duplicate, or slow-moving inventory.
- Support maintenance planning by helping ensure required parts are available for repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Purchasing, Production, and other departments to resolve parts or inventory issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety procedures and plant requirements.
- Perform additional inventory, administrative, and maintenance-support duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in parts, inventory, warehousing, stockroom, maintenance support, automotive parts, manufacturing, or a similar environment preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Experience with an inventory management, ERP, CMMS, or maintenance system is a plus.
- Ability to accurately read and work with part numbers, labels, packing slips, and purchase orders.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable attendance and strong follow-through.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to support both the Canastota and Oneida locations as needed.

Compensation
Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour
