Parts Coordinator/Shop Technician

Kinsley Power Systems is seeking a Parts Coordinator/Shop Technician to join their growing team! The Parts Coordinator/Shop Technician is responsible for receiving, inventorying and distributing parts to customers and employees in a timely manner.

Parts Coordinator/Shop Technician Responsibilities:

• Supports technicians in the field with parts look-ups, part compatibility and availability

• Works with parts suppliers to ensure parts are on hand as needed and in the correct quantity

• Ensures each technician receives the proper parts to complete successful first-time repair of equipment

• Maintain a presentation ready shop that is clean and organized

• Maintains inventory levels to match the requirements of the customer and company and adjusts stock to curtail accumulation of unused or obsolete parts

• Conduct regular facility audits and take necessary corrective actions to maintain a clean, safe  and healthy work environment 

• Processes returns in a timely manner so the company receives full credit from its suppliers

• Performs warehouse/shop maintenance and cleanliness as well as other areas in the facility as needed

• Manages supplier relationships and actively seeks new suppliers when appropriate

• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Parts Coordinator/Shop Technician Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent plus two+ years related experience; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis

• Previous parts/inventory experience a big plus

• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and maintain organization in a fast paced, changing environment.

• Mechanical inclination; diesel and gas engines knowledge preferred

• Solid organizational skills and ability to follow through; uses time efficiently and is detailed-oriented.

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and security
