    Parts Counterperson / Inventory Consultant – Metro Ford of Madison

    Location: Madison, WI

    Metro Ford of Madison is looking for a Parts Counterperson to be part of the heartbeat of our service operation. You won't just be "pulling parts"—you’ll be the essential link between our technicians and our customers, ensuring that every vehicle that leaves our shop is safe, reliable, and ready for the road.

    Hours of Work Schedule:

    • Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

    • Saturday: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm (Rotation Required 2x/mo)

    What a Typical Day Looks Like:

    • Be the Expert: Greet DIY customers and service pros with a smile, helping them find exactly what they need from our massive inventory.

    • The "Air Traffic Controller": Manage parts orders with precision, ensuring our service technicians have what they need to stay on schedule.

    • Master the Warehouse: Keep our inventory organized, clean, and flowing. You’ll coordinate with suppliers to make sure we’re always stocked up on the essentials.

    • Tech Navigator: Use our digital catalog systems to look up availability and pricing in seconds.

    What You Bring to the Team:

    • The "Ford" Factor: Previous experience in a Ford parts room or automotive retail is a major plus, but basic automotive knowledge and a hunger to learn go a long way.

    • Communication Skills: You’re comfortable talking shop with mechanics and explaining parts to everyday drivers.

    • Detail-Oriented: You take pride in getting the order right the first time.

    • Tech Savvy: You can navigate inventory software and computer systems with ease.
