Overview:

Vista Aircraft Maintenance is seeking to hire a Parts Lead to join our Part 145 Repair Station in Van Nuys, CA. As a Parts Lead, you will oversee aircraft parts procurement, inventory control, and compliance, ensuring technicians have the materials required to maintain aircraft in accordance with regulatory and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all parts operations including procurement, receiving inspection, inventory control, and distribution
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration regulations, including traceability, certification, shelf life, and quarantine requirements
  • Manage inventory levels, cycle counts, core returns, warranty tracking, and min/max stock requirements
  • Source parts from OEMs and approved vendors, ensuring quality, pricing, and timely delivery
  • Create and manage purchase orders while monitoring vendor performance and outside services
  • Coordinate with technicians to ensure parts availability aligns with maintenance schedules and work orders
  • Lead, train, and mentor parts personnel while maintaining accurate records and audit-ready documentation

Required Experience, Qualifications, and Education

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of aviation parts, supply chain, or inventory experience (Part 145 preferred)
  • Working knowledge of MRO systems such as Corridor, EBIS, or similar
  • Strong understanding of FAA regulatory requirements related to aircraft parts and traceability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Valid driver’s license with no major infractions

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
  • Ability to work in hangar environments, including varying conditions
