We are looking for a results-driven Parts Manager to lead our inventory operations and department staff. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our parts inventory, from procurement and auditing to sales and distribution. You will act as a key leader within the branch, ensuring that both internal service teams and external customers receive the right components at the right time. Your focus will be on maintaining high service standards, optimizing inventory levels, and driving revenue growth through strategic planning and relationship management.
Operational Leadership: Manage and mentor the parts department team, overseeing daily workflows and performance standards to ensure a productive environment.
Inventory Control: Direct all aspects of inventory management, including cycle counts, regular audits, and stock optimization to meet demand without overextending resources.
Sales & Growth: Partner with the sales and marketing divisions to create initiatives that expand our market share and increase overall parts revenue.
Financial Oversight: Build and manage the annual department budget, monitor P&L performance, and implement cost-saving measures where necessary.
Internal Synergy: Maintain a seamless partnership with the service department to ensure technicians have the necessary parts for timely repairs.
Customer Excellence: Cultivate strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and ensure total satisfaction with every transaction.
Administrative Management: Oversee the purchase order process for designated locations and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant.
Safety Compliance: Champion a culture of safety by leading regular training sessions and ensuring all staff follow established protocols.
Professional Experience: You should have 5 to 10 years of management or supervisory experience, specifically within a related parts or industrial field.
Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of inventory systems and sales strategies is essential. You must be comfortable using Microsoft Office tools like Excel and Outlook for reporting and communication.
Financial Literacy: Familiarity with P&L statements is a plus, though we are happy to provide additional training for the right candidate.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred, but we will also consider those with four or more years of equivalent industry-specific training.
Physical Stamina: This role requires the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting up to 65 pounds, climbing ladders, and working in various environment conditions (including around hazardous materials or refrigeration gases).
Flexibility: You should be prepared to work beyond a standard 8-hour shift when business needs require it.
