Our certified and highly-skilled teams specialize in structural steel design, engineering, detailing, fabrication, erection and retrofit to existing structural members.The 2nd Shift Parts and Plates Foreman is responsible for directing and coordinating daily performance, fabrication and production activities during the second shift. This position provides hands-on leadership to shop personnel, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and production schedules. The Foreman serves as the primary point of contact for shift operations and collaborates cross-functionally with other fabrication facilities, project management, logistics, purchasing, and others to ensure on time delivery and company objectives are consistently achieved. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide leadership and guidance for shop employeesAdhere to and enforce all company policiesManage all aspects of the fabrication shop, including personnel, equipment, tools, materials, etc.Update and maintain the appropriate items in the production scheduleUpdate and maintain the fabrication scheduleCoordinate and schedule deliveriesEstablish and publish standard fabrication proceduresMaintain high quality standards and quality control procedures to ensure that the customers get a quality product on timeContinually evaluate production procedures to increase effectiveness of employees, efficiency of production, and improve qualityCommunicate with other departments to ensure project schedules are metMaintain all equipment and buildings as applicable and necessaryCommunicate with other departments and facilities, as necessary, regarding product status, quality, and deliveryEstablish and maintain working relationships with vendors and suppliersMake decisions that protect the best interests of the companyMaintain a balanced workload in the shop and provide feedback to the Regional Fabrication Operations Manager as neededMaintain inventory levels as needed and discussed with the First Shift Foreman, Regional Fabrication Operations Manager and Purchasing.Determine work hours as needed to maintain delivery schedulesREQUIREMENTS:Managerial or supervisory experience requiredExcellent spoken and written EnglishDetailed knowledge of industryStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent is requiredMicrosoft Office Suite proficiencyMust be able to work 2nd shift schedule as well as overtime and Saturdays as neededEqual Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.Kinsley Steel, Inc. is a Drug Free Workplace where post-offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Kinsley Steel, Inc. is a participant in the Federal E-Verify Program.
